iWAM

iWAM for Executives & Leaders, Teams & Businesses

Your motivations, attitudes and working preferences shape how you lead, communicate, make decisions and work with others.

Our clients value the Inventory of Work Attitudes and Motivations (iWAM), a psychometric profiling tool that reveals the patterns influencing how you work, respond to pressure and interact within a team.

By integrating iWAM into coaching, we all gain a clearer understanding of what drives your behaviour, where your strengths lie and what may be limiting your effectiveness.

How iWAM Supports Leadership and Team Development

Personalised, Practical Insight

iWAM provides a detailed picture of current work-related preferences. It does not define you or place you into a fixed personality type.

We translate the results into practical coaching strategies relevant to your role, challenges and objectives.

For example, a leader who struggles to delegate may uncover patterns connected to control, high standards or personal responsibility. Coaching can then address these drivers and develop more effective ways to build trust, empower others and maintain accountability.

Within a team, individual profiles can be combined to reveal where motivational preferences complement or conflict with one another. This creates a shared language for improving collaboration, decision-making and performance.

Frequently Asked Questions about iWAM

How will the results actually help me after the assessment?

The assessment is the starting point rather than the end result. We translate your profile into practical insights and strategies relevant to your leadership, communication, decision-making, delegation, relationships and performance.

Is iWAM a personality test?

No. iWAM explores your current work-related attitudes, motivations and preferences rather than defining your personality or placing you into a fixed type. It helps reveal patterns in how you approach work, decisions, relationships and different working environments.

Will my iWAM profile put me into a particular category?

No. iWAM produces an individual motivational profile rather than assigning you a label or personality type. The value comes from understanding the combination of preferences that is unique to you and exploring what they mean in the context of your role and goals.

Are there right or wrong iWAM results?

No. A preference is not inherently good or bad. The same motivational pattern can be a strength in one context and less helpful in another. Coaching helps you understand where your natural preferences support you and where greater flexibility may be useful.

Can my iWAM profile change over time?

iWAM reflects work-related preferences rather than an unchangeable identity. Preferences can develop or shift through experience, changing roles and circumstances. The purpose is to increase awareness and choice, rather than suggest that you are permanently wired to behave in one particular way.
It is recommended to repeat an iWAM profile every 3-5 years as circumstances, role & responsibilities change.
